Warrior Dharma

I have dedicated my life to studying and practicing the ancient yet always up-to-date teachings of the Buddha. Through this utterly personal journey, and especially through the example and inspiration of the Tibetan master, Chogyam Trungpa, the training I have received can best be called Warrior Dharma.

It is Dharma because it brings together the timeless practical wisdom of a tradition that has existed for more than 2500 years. It is Warrior because of the unique and intense challenges of practicing it now in a world where we are too often distracted or overwhelmed by the seductions and intimidations of materialism.

The books I've written and the seminars and retreats I lead are all expressions of Warrior Dharma.

This book is one of the most comprehensive and clear-eyed expositions of the teachings of the Buddha by a Westerner. - Fleet Maull

Committing yourself wholeheartedly to the study and practice of the Warrior Dharma is an existential leap of intelligence and bravery.  No one can save or shield you from the penetrating challenge of facing your life fully just as it is, and the joyful responsibility of discovering the life you were truly meant to live.

This book is a guide for understanding this challenge on both a theoretical and visceral level, and a toolkit for meeting it with a gentle and confident heart.

Falling in Love with a Buddha

This spiritual memoir is a tale about love, and the great longing that springs from there—to learn, to grow, to be real, and to forge a genuine connection with oneself and others. - John Welwood

Chogyam Trungpa revolutionized the presentation of Buddhism in the Western world. He did this through the skill of his teaching, the vastness of his vision, and the power of his authentic presence.

This book details the journey of longing, embarrassment, and humor that unfolded when Frank apprenticed himself to this remarkable warrior of courage, insight, and love.
